New Regulations in England
Since September 2014, if you want to gain a qualification that is recognised by Ofsted as allowing you work in the early years sector in England and be counted in the ratios it must have ‘Early Years Educator’ (EYE) in the title. We have combined the level 3 EYE diploma awarded by Innovate Awarding with our own to be able offer a qualification that does exactly that: The Level 3 Montessori Partnership Diploma in Montessori Classroom Practice incorporating Innovate Awarding Level 3 Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare (Early Years Educator) (QCF) to give it its full title.
The course of study leading to this qualification is a combination of knowledge-based and workplace-based assignments, supported by direct observation of your practice by your assessor in your setting. You can start at any time and progress at your own pace, and you’ll find that all the course materials have been very carefully organised to be logical and easy to use. For many students, courses that are web-based are cumbersome and confusing, so we have opted to stick with our tried and tested e-mail based system.
Early Years Educator
The EYE part of the course is concerned with all the regulatory aspects of working in the early years, and this part of the qualification is the diploma awarded by Innovate Awarding. You don't have to deal with them though, because we are responsible for all the communications and arrangements regarding this part of the course.
Montessori Classroom Practice
The Montessori part of the course gives a basic introduction to the Montessori theory that underpins classroom practice and gives you comprehensive but intensive training on working with the Montessori materials. This part of the course is covered in 10 full days of workshops, which we’re planning to offer in a variety of formats. Because our communications are electronic you can be virtually paperless if you wish, but because there is always a need for hard copies we provide you with a smart folder, with dividers already in place so your paperwork stays organised as you work through the 16 units of the course.
Number of hours
The course consists of 310 guided learning hours (GLH) and approximately 690 private study hours, giving a total of approximately 1000 notional learning hours (NLH).
Duration of your course
Your registration as a student runs for 3 years from the date of registration, unless you have a PCDL, in which case your registration is for a total of 28 months. You have the flexibility to proceed at your own pace and set your own deadlines for submitting your work, but you are expected to adhere to these deadlines.
Your assessor is always available by e-mail, phone or SMS to help you if you get stuck, and the added bonus is that when you have completed this course and gained your two diplomas you will have completed Stage 1 of the Montessori Partnership Advanced Montessori Teaching Diploma in Early Years Education, Level 5, giving you a way forward to continue your Montessori studies to gain a full Montessori teaching diploma.
If for any reason you change your mind, we offer a 14 day cooling off period. If after paying and enrolling, you no longer want to do the course, contact Miranda and you will be given a full refund of the deposit. If however you change your mind after the 14 days the deposit value of £500 becomes non refundable even if you have paid in full.
Please click on the links below to enrol and pay.
Option 2: Pay Balance
This is the second part of your payments to us. You need to do this within one month of paying your deposit. This will take your first monthly payment of £165. This will recur until we have collected 16 payments and they will come from the card you used to make the first payment.
Prices include all workshop sessions and exam fees but exclude materials (pens, paper, craft equipment), travel, accommodation. There are no hidden costs. Please visit the bottom of this page to access our policies and t&cs. These documents contain all of the terms and conditions of study.
Once we have received your order you will be sent a Welcome Email. This email will be your proof of enrolment.
