Promoting quality in Montessori teacher education

Workshops for Classroom Practice & CPD

Workshops

We offer a yearly cycle of workshops that  form part of our Montessori Partnership Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Classroom Practice (EYE). The workshops take place over 5 weekends and each weekend reveals the segments of the Montessori early years curriculum. There is a short practical assessment at the end of the weekend.

Current Level 3 Students: From January 2017 all bookings must be made online by following the links further down the page.

Level 4 students can attend the workshops instead of the 2 week summer workshop but they will also need to attend a 6th workshop to bring their knowledge of the materials up to Level 4.

"I am proud because today I've completed my first Montessori Workshop. This is the beginning of a magical journey! I am so grateful for my wonderful teacher Margaret Dillane and for all the lovely people who shared this experience with me." EH, workshop student, 2016

Feedback from a Practical Life Workshop
"The workshop was wonderful. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone – participants, helpers and staff. In fact by the end of the first day I felt like I had known everyone for years – very ‘family’ like! The venue was delightful – a well equipped and beautifully presented Montessori classroom. Margaret’s delivery was perfectly pitched and her passion for Montessori made the whole weekend informative and enjoyable. I am looking forward to the next weekend in November." NK

"I met some inspirational people, and cannot wait for the next workshop to continue learning new things to develop myself, my staff and most importantly the children." AS

Workshop sessions start promptly at 9:00 each day, with a short break for coffee mid-morning and an hour for lunch, usually between 1:00 and 2:00. There is a break in the afternoon session also, and the workshop day ends at 18:00. On Sunday the day starts at 9:00 and finishes at 16:00. The practical exams are held between 16:00 and 18:00. You are informed of your result at the end of the day.
Tea and coffee are supplied, but you need to bring a packed lunch.

During these two intensive days you:

· Learn how to use the materials through hands-on practice.

· Come to understand how the materials support the child’s development.

· Learn how to recognise what the child needs and how to respond.

· Gain greater understanding of the importance of the prepared environment.

· Become confident in being the dynamic link between the materials and the child.

Fees:

The cost of the workshops is included in the Level 3 course fee.

The fee for CPD attendees and Level 4 students is £220 for each workshop.
